What you actually get by switching
German jurisdiction, not Swiss
Your data lives in Falkenstein, Germany under EU law — no data-retention mandate, no handing data to foreign law enforcement. Proton is Swiss and is publicly relocating infrastructure out of Switzerland in 2026 over a new surveillance law, so "Swiss privacy" is no longer the clean advantage it once was.
A real CLI and WebDAV
